Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. However, it is often said that beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder but hey, a little vanity never hurt anybody, did it? However, not all of us want to spend thousands into buying products that may or may not enhance our natural beauty, and all the DIY beauty knowledge on the Internet is too vast for one person to look through and figure out what works.
To help you in this task, we scoured the depths of the internet to get some home remedies and beauty hacks. After spending a few hours on the Internet, we found a few weird but effective beauty hacks that can actually get you the results you want. Curious to find out more? Read on.
1. Beer Can Help You Get Healthier Hair
A Beer has many components such as malt, yeast, and hops that are rich in vitamins that can nourish our hair. Therefore, if you’re looking for a home remedy for healthy hair, look no further. Use beer as a conditioning rinse. In order to do this, dilute the beer with water in 1:1 ratio and then use it as a conditioner after washing your hair. If you have colored hair, then you should use light beer to avoid staining the hair.
2. Use Baby Powder To Get Dramatic Eyelashes
Forget falsies, this hack can get you as much drama for your lashes without the hefty price tag. All you need to do is first apply a layer of mascara on your eyelashes and then apply some baby powder onto them using an earbud. Then, follow it up by applying another layer of mascara to get the fake-eyelash effect.
3. Your Concealer Can Create The Effect Of Plump Lips
If you really want to wear dark lipsticks but avoid doing so because you have thin lips, then this is the hack you’ve been looking for. Take your concealer and trace the outline of your lips with it. In doing so, blur the natural contours of your lips. Now, take a bright-colored lip pencil and draw a new lip contour that makes your lips seem fuller, over the natural one. However, don’t draw the new contour too far away from the natural one.
4. Use Activated Charcoal To Get Whiter Teeth
Buy a few tablets of activated charcoal. You can also buy activated charcoal powder. Add a few drops of water to the tablet. If you’re using powder, take about one teaspoon of powder and water to create a paste (mix it water thoroughly to avoid forming any lumps). Using a toothbrush, apply this paste on your teeth and brush your teeth with them. This treatment is not recommended for daily use, limit its use to about once or twice a month.
5. Red Lipstick Can Work As The Perfect Concealer For Dark Circles
If you are having trouble concealing the dark shadows under your eye, we suggest you try this beauty hack. Apply the red lipstick on the arches beneath your eyes, and shade it. After this, apply a layer of concealer over it, shading it to absorb the red hue of the lipstick. Apply another layer of concealer over it and follow the same procedure. Finish it off by applying a layer of setting powder over it. Voila! The shadows would no longer be visible.
6. Use A Fork To Contour Your Nose Perfectly
If you’re not happy with the shape of your nose and want a shapelier one, then contouring is the much cheaper and safer alternative to corrective surgery. And to do it the right way, we suggest you use a fork as shown in the picture above. Just highlight the ridge of your nose with a lighter color and darken the wings to make your nose look longer and shapelier.
7. Running Low On Eyeliner? Colored Pencils Can Do The Trick
If lining your lids with bold, colored eyeliner is more your style but you don’t have any colored eyeliners then this is what you should do. Place colored pencils in a glass containing hot water for a couple of minutes. Take the pencils out and use them as eyeliner to line your eyes to get a dramatic summer look.
8. Lip Balm Can Make For The Perfect Highlighter
If you don’t want to spend your money on buying three different types of products such as concealer, bronzer, and highlighter but still want to get that highlighted effect then this is a neat trick for you. While you always have the option of using your shimmery eyeshadows for highlighting, your lip balm can help too. Instead of highlighting with shimmery eyeshadows, use your lip balm as a highlighter. It will give you a much softer, dewy glow.
We hope you have as much fun trying these neat tricks and hacks as we did while researching them. Try them all and let us know what did or didn’t work for you. Share your observations with us in the comments.
