Sridevi tied the knot with Boney Kapoor in 1996 when her Bollywood career was at its peak in 1996. She was the most sought after actress in tinsel town. However, when she conceived for the first time, her first daughter Janhvi was born. She took a hiatus and chose to give up her amazing career to take care of her two daughters (Khushi, the second one). Finally, after six years she made a comeback with a television show “Malini Iyer” and then got back to the big screen with English Vinglish in the year 2012. Her talent was such that even after a break which lasted more than a decade, she was still loved by the audience.

This Bengali bombshell wooed everybody with her dusky looks and amazingly chirpy persona. She is an actress who sizzled on screen and has the best of blockbusters like Dil Wale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Baazigar, and Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Her career was flourishing but just then she chose to marry the love of her life Ajay Devgn and decided to retire into family life. She gave birth to Nysa and Yug and gave her all in being a good mother to them. However, in 2006 she made a comeback with the film Fanaa which was a blockbuster, yet again. And since then, she has been extremely choosy with her choices and makes sure she is never letting the mother in her take a back seat.
3. Madhuri Dixit Nene

She is known as Bollywood’s dancing diva. There’s no soul who cannot be mesmerized by her performances. She married Dr. Shriram Nene and moved to the US in 1999 at a time when her career was at its prime level. For almost a decade or more she stayed there looking after her husband and her two sons Arin and Ryaan. She came back to India with her family of course and decided to return to the big screen with the movie Aaja Nachle. She definitely hasn’t done a lot of movies. She is taking it slowly with very few hand-picked movies like Gulaal, a couple of brand endorsements and has become a favorite when it comes to being a reality show judge.
4. Sonali Bendre

When it comes to her success rate in Bollywood, Sonali has had a very limited success rate. However, she certainly was the most sought after actress of her time, be it in Bollywood or in the South Indian film industry. She married director, Goldie Behl. And just when she was getting the recognition she deserved in the industry, she chose to say bye-bye to the tinsel town and decided to have kids. She has never done any movie after becoming a mother except for a special appearance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara. Her life revolves around her family now. She is one dedicated mom!
5. Namrata Shirodkar

She rose to instant fame and became every household’s name after doing movies like Vaastav and Bride and Prejudice. In spite of wearing a success belt as a leading Bollywood actress, she decided to leave the tinsel town to marry South Indian megastar, Mahesh Babu. She’s never seen in any movie ever since she became a mommy to her two kids.
6. Amrita Singh

She married the Nawab of Pataudi, Saif Ali Khan in 1991 even though she was 12 years elder to him. They got married against the consent of many closed ones from their family. They had two children daughter Sara and son Ibrahim before divorcing after 13 years of courtship. Until the divorce happened, Amrita chose to stay away from films and take care of her children. After the divorce, she was seen playing minor roles in Bollywood and winning back the hearts of her fans.
