We’re talking about the most awaited annual film festival that has every fashion squadron’s eyes on it — the Cannes film festival! Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Kangana Ranaut stupefied the crowd with their bold and beautiful looks on the red carpet, on Thursday. The B-town divas truly did justice to their looks and walked the red carpet like they owned it. After pulling off a surprisingly extravagant outfit at the Gala which garnered both applauds and boos worldwide, Priyanka chose the mellow side of the road this time. She wore an embellished strapless dress with a thigh-high slit,by Roberto Cavalli.

The black and berry red ensemble with a sensuous neckline looked like a piece of magic on Mrs. Jonas . Her beautiful silver earrings by Chopard were the silver lining to the glittery gown she donned Styled by Mimi Cuttrell, the actress’s slightly curled hair alluded to the retro vibes. Priyanka’s make up was right on point with perfectly lined eyes and light pink lips. With everything pretty and glittery, PeeCee looked like a sensuous dream.

“Oh my gosh!” is probably what the people who witnessed Deepika walk down the red carpet said. With a remarkably huge black bow on her stylish white dress, she did look like the most glamorous gift anyone can ever get. We still can’t get over the hot pink butterfly outfit of her’s from the previous edition of Cannes in 2018. However, it looks like this one’s gonna stay on every fashion police’s mind for a very long time too.

The grandiose gown in black and white by Peter Dundas is undoubtedly a show-stealer. The contemporary queen of Bollywood, sashayed across the red carpet spotting some really fine silvery earrings and bracelets. Styled by Shaleena Nathani, the outfit got its perfect finish with a pair of shiny black heels. The upside down cat eyes and the high pony added to the intensity of the drama. We loved this look of DP. All hail Queen Deepika!

A classy Kanjeevaram saree with a Victorian corset and dark plum hand gloves — sounds like a fashion disaster? Well, it’s not, and Kangana Ranaut’s look for the red carpet at Cannes this year has proved it in GOLD. We’ve all seen the traditional Indian saree with a lot of twists over the past few years but this one is surely worth remembering and even trying!

The custom made corset was embellished in gold and it featured a peplum belt that blended into the golden Kanjeevaram saree. While the Victorian part of the outfit was designed by Falguni and Shane Peacock, the saree credits go to Madhurya Creations. Styled by Ami Patel, the Bollywood beauty wore a pair of opera gloves that became the highlight of her outfit. For those of you who don’t know, opera gloves are formal gloves that reach above the elbows. After watching her glide through the glamourous carpet, all we can say is that Kangana’s outfit is a flawless combo of bold and beautiful.
Kangana kept it low-key when it came to accessories and she wore just a gold finger ring that went pretty well with her ensemble. We can’t get enough of her stylish platform heels that looked subtle yet gorgeous! Also, her make up was on the lighter side with a soft glow, lightly kohled eyes, and nude lips. A sleek bun with curls on the side gave Kangana’s entire look a retro touch. Let’s just say that the overall look of the pretty lady is going to be a golden memory.

Kangana nailed another amazing look at the Cannes in a super hot black pantsuit. She wore the ravishing attire by Nedret Taciroglu for the after party. The black pantsuit looked stunning with the silver cutwork and a mindbogglingly hot blazer with a deep neckline. The perfectly fitting white bodice added to the steam for sure! Unlike her previous look, the makeup was pretty smoky this time. The piercing eyes and nude lips with the gelled, pulled back hair made Kangana’s look extremely fiery.

After seeing our leading ladies rule the red carpet at Cannes this year, all we can say is that the day when more Bollywood divas will be making their mark in International cinema isn’t too far. There were many other celebrities whose looks were breathtaking at the event. Cannes, which is considered one of the most glamorous and star-studded events in the world, has now become a favourite among our Bollywood queens too, and we are loving it!
